(Day 2: Circumnavigating the Main Island) A Journey to Immerse Yourself in Yanbaru's Great Nature

It is a small island located in the northern part of Okinawa Island, surrounded by emerald-green seas.
In 2005, the Kouri Bridge opened between Kouri Island and the neighboring Yagaji Island, making it an island accessible by car from Okinawa Island.
When crossing the bridge, you can drive through waters so crystal-clear that even the Uchinaanchu (Okinawans) rave about them,
and thanks to the stunning scenery, the island has become a popular destination for many tourists.

The roadside station features a farmers’ market selling vegetables, meat, fish, boxed lunches, bread, and sweets from the northern region—primarily Oogimi Village—as well as a cafeteria serving set meals and soba noodles, a snack bar offering hamburgers and zenzai, and a video hall where visitors can learn about the nature of Yanbaru♪

Built 25 years ago to boost tourism in the Yanbaru region, this is Okinawa’s northernmost roadside station.
The building housing the local specialty products section is characterized by its wooden triangular roof.

This is a scenic spot where you can enjoy views of majestic rocky mountains and the vast ocean.

Fukuchi River Seaside Park is available for use as a seaside outdoor recreation area.
